Sorry if I leave anyone out or there are any mistakes in this as I am doing it in a mega rush!!!

Last night the Pit Crew was down in Annalong Co. Down at the fantastic Glassdrumman Lodge for a charity dinner with the Co. Down team from ITV’s Taste of the Nation. The guys from Down made it to the semi-finals of the all UK cook off competition and were very unlucky not to get any further. To celebrate this success and also the great food products available in Northern Ireland the team cooked their final menu for a group of select guests at Glassdrumman last night, along with wine to accompany each course & a champagne reception. However the real reason for being there was an auction to the guests for the Co. Down team to come and cook at home for the winning bidder with all the proceeds going to the NSPCC. £3,500 was raised in the end, with a winning bid of £2,500 which is absolutely fantastic! Square Pit were providing a live stream of the all the goings on the kitchen directly into the reception area, to help give the guest an idea of what it takes for a bunch of amateur chefs to prepare for a party of 20.

There isn’t much else goin g on this weekend as we are just getting through the tapes from the brilliant Plus Size Models event on Wednesday night, and will be off to St. George’s market on Wednesday to see the top 3 girls strut their stuff on stage at the Spring into Summer event. Our thanks again to Marina Rinaldi, Corona Extra & The Chelsea Wine Bar for helping out with everything on the day and letting us be a part of something with such a great feeling about it!
