In the run up to Christmas we will be doing a daily competition to win some pretty cool stuff through the SESSION13 Facebook page. To enter just head over, like the page and answer the question for the day. Today (Wednesday 14th December) is Day 2 and the question is below. Good luck!
Tomorrow afternoon, Saturday 12th November, T13 will host the Triple-T 500 BMX jam. We have some of the best BMX riders in Europe with us so it is well worth checking out, even if you are not a big BMX aficionado. All the info you need is on the poster below and you can follow the event on twitter all day @T13tv. Event video and pics will be premiered in the next SESSION13 out Monday 21st November.
A wee while back we caught up with UK hip-hop artists Sway & legendary DJ Dan Greenpeace when they were playing Switch @ Thompsons on a Thursday night. A good nights filming and two seriously cool guys. The video was produced for Thompsons and a few extra beats were added by DJ O-One. Enjoy…
We have been super busy here recently and have a ton of work coming up to show y’all. First up today though here are two of the most recent videos we have produced for Funkarama @ Thompsons club in Belfast. The first is beatboxer Hobbit doing his thang, followed up by last months Ultimate Uprock dance battle. We’re more than happy with how both these turned out and stay tuned for a second video from Hobbit with Starboy Nathan laying down some freestyles and another dance video from next week.
Recently we have also been finishing off Tha Duke’s first music video and will have it featured in the next week or so…
Just a quick selection of photos from the ‘On Your Bike!’ event the QFT and Belfast Film Festival ran down at Lanyon Place beside Belfast’s Waterfront Hall back on Sunday 4th September. As with anything outdoors this time if year you are running a gauntlet with the weather and on this occasion mother nature was the winner. That said it was still a great day and plenty of people turned out to show their support for all things two-wheeled. There was just enough of a window to squeeze one fashion show and one RampRage demo in before it got too bad, but the bands struggled through and the screenings where welcome shelter for mildly soaked patrons. This is the sort of event we would love to see more of in Belfast, especially with our interests in both moving image and bikes! Big thanks to Sarah Hughes and all the guys at the QFT and the guys from Belfast Film Festival for all the hard work.
Since we started the T13 project nearly a year ago now we have been constantly striving to help promote and develop urban sports throughout both our local communities and across the whole of Ireland. We have already established a world class facility with the Rhythm Room and now we are about to do one better with the launch of Ireland’s first foam pit.
We hope you can join us and help celebrate this addition to our arsenal as we continue to endeavor to highlight BMX, skate and blade talent in this country and help the next generation to be world beaters.
“This is your exclusive invitation to join us as we make history and unleash Ireland’s
very first Foam Pit. Our good friends at Monster Energy Drink will be helping us
celebrate with some big beats and a BBQ.
There will be cool prizes for all sorts of Foam Pit related malarky.
Culture Night Belfast is a yearly celebration of all aspects of the cultures that co-exist in and around our city. This year we are very proud to have been asked to be the main focus of the Urban Culture hub, situated at Buoy Park, between St. Anne’s cathedral and the art college. As this area was a vital part in breathing life into early street culture in Belfast it is fitting that we will be showcasing what Belfast has to offer on this spot.
On the night we will have the RampRage BMX & skate teams out with a quarter pipe set-up, as well as b-boying and street dance. Also going on in and around us will be live street art with KVLR, Friz and some other local painters, and finally the Belfast Parkour crew will be knocking about showing you just what can be done with your urban environment.
We are not everything that is going on in the Cathedral Quarter that night so be sure to get down early and also explore the rest of what Belfast has to offer. Join up with Culture Night on Facebook to keep in the know. The event starts and 4pm and will go on until 10pm that night, then it’s after-party time…
Peace, D.
These are some of the pics we took for the press launch of the ‘On Your Bike!’ day the QFT are running at Belfast’s Waterfront Hall on Sunday 4th September. There is going to be a full day of Bike related films & fun, as well as a RampRage BMX show. We are really happy to be going back to take the event photos for the QFT too. Pretty happy with how these came out though…
